The Bird Chasers is an innovative bird management organization based in Galveston, TX, dedicated to providing humane and effective solutions for problematic birds. To create a harmonious balance between human activity and wildlife preservation, we specialize in using highly trained shelter dogs and other organic deterrents to safely resolve bird-related issues. Our commitment to responsible, non-lethal methods ensures a sustainable approach to deter birds from:

Our Shelter Dogs
Our dogs are sourced from local animal shelters, giving them a purpose by providing a valuable service for the community. Research has shown that properly trained dogs demonstrate harassment behavior that birds recognize as threats. We use training methods based upon the latest research in animal behavior and psychology to help them learn. Our dogs:
- once neglected and discarded, are now loved and purposive,
- are trained not to catch, harm, or kill birds,
- and are kept on a long line while they work.
Our wildlife management plan follows five principles that balance the needs of the client with those of the surrounding neighborhood:
- understand the bird problem
- use a holistic approach to the problem
- start early with a control program
- avoid predictable patterns
- respect the neighbors
Individualized Plans
In our effort to safely and humanely manage bird problems, we use a combination of highly trained shelter dogs and other effective deterrents like acoustic nets, Kestrel nest boxes, and RCDs to keep your property free from problem birds. To achieve our goals, we follow the general principles of wildlife management:
- understand the specific animal needs,
- understand how to provide for these needs, and
- consider complex interactions with other animal populations, including humans, and the environment.
