Bird Removal Services
The Bird Chasers is a Wildlife Management organization that specializes in using highly trained dogs to chase birds away from airports, vineyards, farms, schools, athletic fields, air parks, restaurants, weddings, or catered events. Our wildlife management plan follows the five principles that balance the needs of the client with those of the surrounding neighborhood:
- Understand the bird problem
- Use a holistic approach to the problem
- Start early with a control program
- Avoid predictable patterns
- Respect the neighbors
We're committed to environmental protection by finding solutions to bird problems that create an equilibrium between human needs and wildlife management.
Our Dogs
We use science-based techniques that have been proven to be effective in modifying bird behavior. Our methods are based upon the latest research in animal behavior and psychology to help our dogs learn. Our dogs:
- are trained not to catch, harm, or kill birds,
- are kept on a long line while they work, and
- are sourced from local animal shelters, giving them a purpose by providing a valuable service for the community.
Research has shown that properly trained dogs demonstrate harassment behavior that birds recognize as threats.
Individualized Plans
In our effort to provide safe and humane solutions to bird problems, we use a combination of highly trained dogs and other effective techniques like acoustic nets, Kestrel nest boxes, and RCDs to keep your property free from problem birds. To achieve our goals, we follow the general principles of wildlife management:
- understand the specific animal needs,
- understand how to provide for these needs, and
- consider complex interactions with other animal populations, including humans, and the environment.
We work closely with our clients to provide tailored solutions that meet their unique needs to ensure their satisfaction.
